The Acting for Stage and Screen Diploma is an immersive, three-year training program that provides students with the skills necessary to begin a professional acting career in theatre, film and television.

What makes ASAS unique?

  • ASAS offers acting courses in stage and screen techniques every year of the program.

  • The split between stage and screen training is about 50/50.

  • You’ll take courses in film production and other elements of film work, including MOCAP (Motion Capture) techniques.

  • ASAS students have opportunities to collaborate with MOPA (Motion Picture & Performing Arts) students on short films and other projects.

  • Most ASAS courses are studio classes, meaning you are learning and practising skills in voice, movement and acting in class.

  • The ASAS program is a conservatory-style program where you take classes with a cohort.

  • Performance opportunities include mock auditions with local theatre directors and producers. In your final year, you’ll perform on the Blueshore Theatre as part of our Mainstage Season.

  • Every graduate performs in our Graduation Showcase, which local agents and producers attend.

  • All courses are taught by faculty who are active professionals in their fields.

“The faculty here didn’t just teach me acting.

They taught me how to step into the industry and take ownership of my dream.”
